Fall is the Best Time of Year for Laser Treatments

Woman receiving laser treatmentSummer is finally over and with it, those high UV indexes. Dermatologists around the country are celebrating shorter days and, of course, fewer sun tans. Because lasers see through the skin easier as the skin gets a little lighter, fall and winter are also the best times of year for many of Dr. Rosenbach's patients to schedule laser treatments. For all of you who have heard Dr. Rosenbach say, "You can't treat this easily in the summer; you might want to wait until the fall," now is the time to make those appointments.

The most popular items to treat this time of year are sunspots, unwanted facial vessels, and certain types of wrinkles that do not respond to Botox or fillers. Hair removal often requires fewer treatments in the fall and winter. Since spider veins can take several treatments and are often located in sun exposed areas of the legs, these are easier to treat now as well.

We hope you enjoy our favorite seasons and remember, even though the sun isn't as strong, it is important to continue wearing your sunscreen, avoiding mid-day exposure and keeping those hats handy!

Hollywood's Top Doctors ListWe are honored that Dr. Rosenbach was featured in Hollywood Reporter’s first-ever list of Hollywood’s Best Doctors. How the Sun Sees You

How the Sun Sees You is a short, three-minute video that shows real people what they look like when exposed to ultraviolet light both with and without sunscreen. It has been viewed by more than 13 million people on YouTube, and we hope everyone in the practice takes a moment to watch.
