Aging Eyelids
Eyelids can often change with age by losing elasticity and gaining extra skin. While surgery can be helpful for some patients, there are others who benefit more from laser treatments. As a less invasive and very effective alternative, we offer the Matrix CO2. This laser shrinks the eyelid skin to smooth out wrinkles. Studies employing microscopic analyses show the treated skin becomes thicker, with more organized collagen and increased elasticity.
Our Fractional CO2 laser, the Matrix, is stronger than typical lasers in its category and can be used on the upper and lower eyelids. The treatment works best on eyelid skin that is wrinkled and has a loss of elasticity. Many people can visibly notice their skin beginning to tighten after just one session. Dr. Rosenbach will determine laser settings based on each individual patient and treatments will be conducted by our clinicians. Patients often undergo 2-5 treatments spaced out around eight weeks apart with downtime of about 4 days per treatment.
